  1. The character menu:
  2. this menu contains five selec-
  3. tions that will enable a player
  4. to perform character and party
  5. options.
  6.  
  7. 1. create character:
  8. There are five steps required
  9. to create a character:
  10. I.. After selecting this option,
  11.  one must enter the name that
  12.  they will bestow upon the
  13.  character.
  14. II. The player then will be
  15.  prompted to choose a race.
  16.  Click on the desired picture.
  17. III. the third step involves
  18.  the selection of a characters
  19.  profession.  again, click on
  20.  the desired picture.
  21. IV. this step involves the
  22.  random generation of your
  23.  characters abilities.  there
  24.  are two icons below the data
  25.  that control this process.  to
  26.  re-roll your abilities, use
  27.  the re-roll icon and once you
  28.  are satisfied with your charac-
  29.  ters abilities, choose the
  30.  accept icon.
  31. V.. the last step in the
  32.  character generation involves
  33.  the selection of a portrait
  34.  that will represent your
  35.  character.  Use the arrow icons
  36.  to flip through the available
  37.  portraits and then choose the
  38.  accept icon when you get to
  39.  the picture that you like best.

  41. 2. add character:
  42. This option will allow a
  43. character that is stored on
  44. disk to be added to the current
  45. party.  Click on the name of
  46. the character that you wish to
  47. add to the party.  when you are
  48. finished adding characters,
  49. click on the area of the
  50. current party data and you will
  51. be returned to the character
  52. options menu.

  54. 3. drop character:
  55. The current party is displayed
  56. with the characters name and
  57. his or her picture within the
  58. small window.  click on the
  59. picture of the character that
  60. you wish to drop, or anywhere
  61. else on the screen to return to
  62. the character menu.

  64. 4. erase character:
  65. when a character has outlived
  66. his or her usefulness, this
  67. option will remove them per-
  68. menately from the hard drive.
  69. A list of characters is dis-
  70. played with the current party
  71. listed below.  click on a
  72. character from the list and
  73. a yes no confirmation will
  74. come up.  choosing yes will
  75. erase that character.  To
  76. return to the character menu,
  77. click on the area where the
  78. current party is displayed.

  80. 5. previous menu:
  81. this option will return you
  82. to the beginning menu.
